Folded Nuance is a series of objects developed through material research into Nuance, a textile by Julie Helles. This approach allows the textile's inherent qualities to inspire and shape the design through careful reflection and experimentation.

Reclaimed cotton fabric, sewing thread from secondhand sources. 10 x 13 cm.
The 12 colors are crafted using an innovative technique, where the act of drawing is translated into a new textile technique based on the capabilities and limitations of a sewing machine. By intentionally using three threads, I create a nuanced color palette, where subtle interplay between colors adds depth and character to the textile.
